Sounds scary to a Southerner. Glad you made it safely.

Being a MN native, its not the snow and sleet and ice and slush on the roads that bother me so much..its the fact that if I slide I don't stop falling for half an hour and will end up with the texture of a fruit roll up!!

We wish.

I did drive off the side of a mountain once (everybody here does). You know all that stuff they tell you about "safety features"? It's actually true.

Interesting..I wonder if my jeep has any safety features?

I always make sure I have a lit cigarette when the roads get a bit dicey...I figure it will take awhile to get an ambulance to me when I am on the bottom of a mountain three hundred miles from the nearest town and I might lose my lighter in the crash. Nothing would be worse than being wrecked and jonesing for a cigarette

What's a mountain pass?

It's where we go over the mountains instead of looking for the strait of Magellan like Gramps always did.

No silly - a mountain pass is where some toothless old codger in overalls hits on her. You know . . . ROCK. :D

That sucks....sliding off a 4,000 foot cliff that some folks call a highway would not be a good thing.

Glad u made it home ok.

You probably actually use those other gears on an automatic transmission. There are 5, but I only use 3: P, R, D.
