Can someone please answer this for me? Obama has continuously sided against Israel. Helen Thomas is bleating on about telling Jews to go back to Poland and Germany(where they were treated so well at club Auschwitz and other camps). The left wing media is decidedly pro-Palestinian. And yet Jews in this country are as nearly liberal and Democrat as blacks are. Can someone explain this to me?

the tend towards social liberalism which makes them crawl in bed with the rest of the left wing.

1. There's a difference between "Jews" and "Israel".

2. Jewish people in this country tend to be better educated, tend to live in liberal areas (like New England), and have been victims of social discrimination, all of which tend to lead to social liberalism.

Wow, never could see the "liberals are more educated" bullshit coming.

Actually, Jews in Israel are on par educationally with Jews in the United States you dunderhead. The difference is religious. Jewish people are more conservative the more they practice their religion. Those that dont practice their religion tend to be more liberal. Same goes with any religion.

Which means that conservatives actually believe what they profess while liberals are ok with religion as long as it's viewed as a hobby.

Well, I guess you could be right. Just like how liberals hate this country, Jewish people can hate Israel.

he does hire someone to turn his light off along with other stuff and doesn't work on Saturdays at all....so idk why he doesn't wear his Kippa and tzitzit.

Herb Kohl and Fiendgold both are Jewish and liberal Senators, but idk how closely they follow the Jewish traditions.

Kohl owns Kohl's department stores, yet word around Wisconsin is he's a cheapskate and wears his suits threadbare...but the guy has some good business sense. He owns the Bucks, Kohl's (both department store and grocery store chain) and a big Cattle Ranch in Wyoming. has some money for sure

Judaic socialism is much different than European political socialism. Don't confuse the two.

Judaic cultural socialism goes back a couple of thousand years to the conflict with Assyria, while European socialism dates from the French revolution and was implemented by leaders like Bismark as a means to "control the masses". Judaic socialism is voluntary, while European socialism is not.

Socialism, as practiced by Jews, affects the synagogue and voluntarily within the community and the home. When practiced by the state, it is enforced within the national borders by law.

Most jews in this country are Reform, not Conservative or Orthodox/Hassidic. That makes them religiously liberal, and people who interpret the Hebrew scriptures allegorically, not literally. Most are not Zionists, even if they support the existence of Israel to some degree or another, they don't want to live there. They are americans.

Metro Detroit has a large jewish community. The Hassidic live separately-they have businesses in the community, and share Oak Park with other ethnic and religious groups, but they have separate temples and schools from the more liberal jews in the area. They are zionists, and scriptural literalists.

My friends at work are all Reform, and they are all liberals. Some have sent their children on trips to Israel through the Hillel Foundation, give to Israeli causes, but none of them ever want to live there. They are happy here.
