I've been known to eat a Taco Bell taco from time to time. They fill a certain place in U.S. cuisine. I always use the Fire Sauce on them.

I stopped at taco beuno last week and got three tacos, there was nothing to them, very disappointing.

I did and they were horrible. There was so much cilantro in them that I couldn't taste the meat. My favorite tacos are the one's I make from those kits for El Paso or Ortega.

I like the soft chicken tacos at TB. I hate Del Taco, though. We also have both real and gringo-ized real mexican (the difference being cheese, and of course, having tripe on the menu) restaurants around here, and the food is pretty cheap at them.

I liked Taco Johns when I was traveling out west on a Young Life trip in 1981. Their food was better than TB, and a little spicier.

I like their Fresco-style Grilled Steak Taco. Delicious and fairly decent on calories.

The Big Fat Steak Taco at Del Taco is also excellent, but not so good in the calorie department.

All last winter our local Taco Smell had tacos for 39 cents...not a bad deal.

A local Casino has Taco Tuesday...50 cents each and they make their own sauce. Very good...I took my mom to lunch and it was $6.39 for both of us...that included the drinks.

We had them a while back, but they closed. The Yum! corp has decided to relaunch in Europe this year.

This can be said for almost dish that uses cilantro. Cilantro is good, but it's flavor is very strong, and when people just heap on the cilantro in their recipes, cilantro is the only thing that can be tasted. It's like some menu designers, chef's, etc. think that cilantro is a protein or starch ingredient and not a spice. Whenever I'm making any recipe calling for cilantro, I have the amount the first time I make the dish.

The some-berto's shops here in AZ (Filiberto's, Alaberto's, whatever-berto's) have pretty good tacos. I always go for the carne asada burritos though because they all the *berto's, without exception, have good carne asada. From Taco Bell though I have to have the chicken quesadillias. I don't know what kind of cream sauce they add to the chicken and cheese, but I swear it's main ingredients are heaven juice and unicorn tears.

Yes, they're pretty good. Anything with a self serve peppers and salsa bar is a-okay in my book.
Panchero's (http://www.pancheros.com/) makes a good burrito, too- Almost as good as Chipotle. (http://www.chipotle.com/en-US/Default.aspx?type=default)

That's totally right about cilantro. There is not enough, just right and way too much, and the tolerances between each are quite fine.

I used to kill stuff with too much; now I follow the recipe and quite often cut down.

Here we have the ingredients for the perfect Gwac recipe; note how little cillantro is used:

1 Hass avocado
3 T chopped onions
1 tsp chopped jalapeño chiles
1 1/2 tsp chopped cilantro
2 T chopped tomato (discard juice and seeds)
1/2 tsp salt
