That's two in a row now:
Christina Romer, an economic advisor to President Obama, announced her resignation Thursday night, the second top White House economic official to step down.

Romer, head of the Council of Economic Advisors, said she would leave Sept. 3 and return to her job as an economics professor at UC Berkeley.

Romer had clashed with Obama's top economic advisor, Lawrence Summers, over her access to the president, though administration officials said she was not leaving because of any personality conflict or policy differences.

In a statement released by the White House, Obama said Romer had made it clear early on that she wanted to return to Northern California, where her son is to begin high school in the fall.

So which is it, desire for teaching or rats jumping off a sinking ship?

Why would anyone want to work in the Obama Admin. when you have a fool like Larry Summers being the top dog on economic affairs. Summers thinks we need a new stimulus boondoggle bailout, and that deficits do not matter.

Romer's resignation is just the tip of the iceberg. Wait till the Queen jumps ship after the Nov. elections.

I wouldn't necessarily call them economic advisors unless they are giving advice on how best to piss on the economy. In that case they are doing a fine job.

A potential reason is last weeks publication where in the paper she and her husband, both noted economists, stated that increasing taxes will kill any recovery we may be experiencing. This puts her in direct conflict with her boss. Although the MSM is spinning it as her desire to go back to teaching and/or a potential position at the Fed in San Fran.
