In a remarkable monograph, Roy W. Spencer presents hard evidence that 75% of the observed warming since the start of the 20th century is due to natural processes. He offers a detailed model describing how one of these processes, the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO), operates in the real world. Most importantly, he demonstrates that anthropogenic global warming (AGW) is a minor contributor to a global climate largely insensitive to man-made CO2.................

The most prominent frauds active in promoting AGW have always tried to bury evidence of natural warming and cooling cycles. Truly, the Medieval Warming Period and Little Ice Age are threats to their very CO2-obsessed existence. But these eras occurred centuries ago, with only proxies (like tree rings) to indicate the actual prevailing temperatures. Hence, data from these eras are easily brushed aside and forgotten. Not so with recent thermometer measurements, and temperatures from two periods in particular that have always plagued the theory of AGW.

The first is the period from 1900-1940. A full 60% of the temperature increase measured in the last century occurred during these forty years, when less industrialization existed worldwide and therefore less CO2 had been spewed into our atmosphere. The mild cooling period that ended in the mid-1970s is also baffling. But like any good theory, Spencer's PDO-focused model fits the temperature data during these decades amazingly well. Natural processes -- cloud formation and heat transfer -- dominated the temperatures during these decades, as in every other decade in the modern era.

Global warming is so 90's.....It's now called climate change, so that way no matter what happens they have a name for it!

When a real life GW disaster finally does knock on your door, will you apologize to your children ?

I've read AT enough to know there's not much independent 'thinking' going on...

When a real life GW disaster finally does knock on your door, will you apologize to your children ?When you can 100% conclusively prove that these events are a DIRECT effect of the so called global warming we will talk.

As of yet all you have are wild assed guesses , suppositions and theories. Opinions are like assholes...everyone has one.

Except your wild assed guess include taxing everyone and everything out of existence. AGW is a hoax, a lie, a theory and little else.

That and useless panic mongering over a threat that is imaginary at best,.. a concocted junk science lie at worst. Jones lied. The IPCC lied,. the UN cant be trusted.

I guess the thinkers over at American Thinker forgot to check with NASA first.

Not very thoughtful of them.

Meanwhile, back in the world of real science, 2010 is shaping up to be the hottest year in recorded history.

Damn!

According to the new data published by NASA, 1998 is no longer the hottest year ever. 1934 is. Four of the top 10 years of US CONUS high temperature deviations are now from the 1930s: 1934, 1931, 1938 and 1939, while only 3 of the top 10 are from the last 10 years (1998, 2006, 1999). Several years (2000, 2002, 2003, 2004) fell well down the leaderboard, behind even 1900. (World rankings of temperature are calculated separately.)
In other words: Four of the top ten are in the 1930′s, before mainstream scientists believe humans had any discernible impact on temperatures.Must have been all those people flying everywhere in 747's and driving their SUV's...oh wait...

And will you PLEASE resize these fucking photos?

hottest year for whom? My summer has been very normal - we did have a record winter though. I guess that's global warming's fault.

Really DUmbass? Here in the SF Bay Area, the summer weather has been COOLER than normal. But to AGW cultists like yourself, you'll blame that on global warming too.

Moron.

You're waiting on the government to step in and fix everything, I take it?

You don't get to say the words 'real' and 'world' in the same sentence anymore.

I think the use of the phrase "real science" as it pertains to "global warming" will raise snickers and grins in the scientific community anymore. Especially after "climategate".
