Original message Poll question: What is your situation?

They say never talk about money, religion, or politics in nice company... but we talk about all those here so I'm going to ask. I'm curious...

Please also comment on your choice if you'd like.

LOL!! Highest % in the poll didn't get a Pony and/or students...

33. You know it's funny I've heard people say DU skews upward in
income, but that's not holding true in this poll. Very interesting stuff here. With 98% on DU unemployed by choice* it doesn't surprise me a bit.

*I am relying strictly on unscientific empirical evidence.

My household income is 75-150k, and I think Obama should be impeached and recalled...

I'm doing all right. I wish I had my pre-recession investment income, then I could finish restoration on my '77 vette, but it can sit in the garage for a while longer.

With my pension, and both of our SS checks, we're about $32,000/yr.

But with the house paid for, and no bills except the usual utilities, car/house/health insurance, and property taxes, we're okay. We also have a $35,000 reverse mortgage to draw on if we need it for emergencies. We can put $500/mo in savings 'cause we also carefully budget.

Oh those poor bleeding DUmmies....http://users.mo-net.com/mcruzan/avatars/violin.gif

I'm no worse off than I was 2 years ago. My house had already devalued before Obama took office.
I haven't gotten a raise in years, and I'm getting by. I don't have a car payment for a little while, so I can pay off some of my bills before buying a new one next year, none of which are that high. I need to get my roof done, though. I might have to take out a loan for that.

As long as gas prices stay under $3 a gallon, I'll be okay.

"Over 150k and dissatisfied" - and expected to be, going in.

That sure seems like one of the famous DU 'weed out disgruntled users' polls. I wonder how many of those who answer included 'dissatisfied' will still be posting come Monday.
