According to Chuck Todd, MSNBC’s increasingly shrill White House correspondent, Barack Obama – who has rarely attended church services since his election – is the most religious president of recent times.

No. Seriously. That’s what Todd said.

President Obama is more religious than Reagan or H.W. Bush ever was; in fact, he gets Bible verses sent to his blackberry EVERY DAY. FYI, the Pew poll was conducted before the president weighed in on the mosque controversy. One does wonder if it would have helped push back against this nutty narrative had the president picked a church, as he said he would during the campaign, or if he regularly attended church.

Chuck, you probably get Viagra ads in your email every day. That doesn’t make you Hugh Hufner.

See, stuff like this scares the crap outta me. There are a million logical reasons to oppose Obama....drifting into the Birther movement or thinking he's a "secret muslim" just makes us look like morons. And I've got a legitimate question: even if Obama is really a muslim, WHO FREAKING CARES? I'm a Christian and I'd vote for a God hating Athiest if he/she was a fiscal conservative and a social Libertarian. Of course having a Christian in the White House is my preference, but how exactly does religious affiliation affect job performance?

We conservative Christians run the risk of going down Pat Robertson territory and becoming a joke if we allow the media to shape this issue and fall in line behind this bullshit. That's just my opinion. What do you think?

It is just an opinion poll and I don't think conservatives are going down the Birther or Muzzie bashing route. When he looks like he is kissing Muslim ass's and kicking Christians/Jews in the nuts, that kinda sticks in people's craw. You are right, we do not want to go down that road. Same deal with the race issue. Let's stay as far away from that as we can. Liberals would like nothing better than tag conservatives as racists and religious fanatics.

Obama is hurting his cause with his stance on the mosque. I think that has had some impact on this opinion poll. He does not care what the majority of Americans think. The voters are going to show the Democrats what they think in November.

The guy doesn't go to church - I've never heard him make a statement that would lead me to even believe he has *A* faith let alone the Christian faith - and he's the most religious president we've ever had? And the OP has a point - the MSM was just jumping all over Bush for having too much faith.

Just wait, they will claim that he is so religious that he even prays 5 times a day.

I expect him to admit soon in a speech to America that he is a Muslim.

I completely agree, almost. I would be a bit worried if I thought he was a Muslim, but I don't, so it's not a problem.

Every single other thing you say is 100pc right on.

Since Obama's religion is Obama, I'm kind of inclined to agree.

thats the first thing I thought when I saw this post. Obama's religion is a self centered humanist one based on the Obassiah.

frankly i don't get a shit if he's Muslim or not. Glenn Beck talked about this on Tues, it's his own damn fault for people thinking he is, with his support of Muslim stances and his apologetic approach to the EU and Middle East when it comes to the US's stance in the past. after 18 months you'd think we know him better....instead we get bullshit like "He get Bible txt messages daily" and they expect that to be "religious" enough.

Being concerned about the lamestream media shaping the issue is in essence letting the lamestream media shape the issue. For instance I sense you distancing yourself from the likes of Pat Robertson because of what you have garnered about him in the lamestream media. Just sayin'.

Obama has been a stealth kinda guy from the start. Who are we to knkow what he truely is!?! Would you put anything about his past behind him without any questions? Dude is a cipher. But things are becoming clearer.

I sensed the Obumbler was a snake in the grass way back at the beginning. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and he is steadily removing any doubt.

He certainly is not acting very presidential! But the elites are still making like he is the 2nd coming!
They seem to ignore the obvious!
