Minneapolis has learned that city police were dead wrong when they arrested seven zombies who were attacking excessive consumption in 2006. The city has agreed to pay the stiff-legged performers $165,000 for their mindless arrest for being disorderly and carrying sound gear that police said simulated "weapons of mass destruction," the Star-Tribune tells us.

The seven were dressed up like something out of George Romero's cult classic Night of the Living Dead and "were stiff-legging it down Nicollet Mall to protest mindless consumerism when some unhappy soul called 911," the Star-Trib writes. Police didn't like the looks of the zombies' sound system -- an iPod and four bags. The actors were jailed for two days. Here are the mug shots of four.

Oh yes, they are out there...............

I almost posted this the other day. Kinda amusing except for the idiocy of it all.

Oh brother. They're protesting mindless consumerism using an iPod. They're right. They shouldn't have been arrested. They should have been shot.

A good ass whipping would have been appropriate.
