A huge bacon bash brought out hundreds of pork fans in West Seattle - in celebration of International Bacon Day.

Participants, surrounded by the sizzle and smell of bacon, showed how the breakfast favorite can be used in everything from the main course to dessert.

"Bacon is meat candy," says bacon lover Ryan Redmond.

And what better reason to have International Bacon Day?

At the Swinery butcher shop in West Seattle they were cranking the bacon for the salty celebration.

"It's the new kitschy thing of 2010," says head butcher Joey Brewer. "Everybody wants to be part of some kind of a bacon movement."

That had bacon fans lining up. Komo News Link (http://westseattle.komonews.com/content/bacon-lovers-sometimes-you-have-have-bad-stuff)
