Original message Lanny Davis says if we lose Congress that Obama will be "liberated" from liberal base agenda.

There he goes again. I think he takes great pleasure in saying stuff like this every chance he gets. He just can't resist his digs at us.

He makes some very strange comments in this post in The Hill, words that make me think once again that our party really isn't comfortable having a majority right now. After all a lot of responsibility goes with that power.

He seems clueless to the number of times the "liberals" have been already been ignored the last two years.

‘Apres le deluge’ — a liberated Obama? (http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/the-administration/117635-apres-le-deluge-a-liberated-obama)

As usual he gets a nice dig in Howard Dean.

If the Democrats lose the House and lose seats in the Senate, there may be a ray of sunshine out of the bad news for President Obama.

This is not just making chicken salad out of chicken-you-know-what; history shows that a president forced to deal with the opposition party in Congress can actually end up more successful and more popular.

Remember President Clinton's experience post-1994 deluge. He was disappointed for a while, but then he found he was, in many ways, liberated from following the agenda of the most liberal base of his party, which tends to dominate debates in at least the House Democratic Caucus and to a lesser extent the Senate.

More sour grapes at the linky...

Then in 2012, we can liberate him from the White House.
