I'm home today and want to make something nice for dinner. The Brat will not be here. I do not want anything involving pasta. Help.

Make fajitas.

Cut up some green, yellow, and red peppers into strips. Cut up some onion the same way. Slice up a handful of mushrooms. Dice up some hot peppers. Cut up some chicken or steak.

Sauté the veggies in olive oil and then add the meat. Add some water to fajita seasoning and throw that in.

Serve it in a warm tortilla.

I hate mushrooms. Does wine go well with fajitas?:p

Just have wine.

I probably will. The whole point is putting on a show for him.

Wait, that doesn't sound right...

Will there be a pole involved with this "show"?................:D

Just put out some decent scotch and a bowl of mixed nuts.

If she serves the scotch without her shirt on, he's not going to care about the dinner anyway.

You might be on to something here. I have the booze already. I need to pick up the mixed nuts and figure out what shoes to wear.:p

Pork Chops FTW.

Tenderize, then soak in a bowl with 2 beaten eggs. Season flour with oregano and garlic. Roll chops in flour until evenly coated. Pan fry in light oil until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Serve with rosemary red potatoes (crushed garlic, butter and rosemary, roasted in the oven) and vegetables.

It's what I'm makin' tonight.

If she does that, the only thing he'll be able to think of is Hershey's Kisses.

The view was lovely; the food wasn't. My mahi mahi was dry on the outside, rubbery on the interior. It didn't taste fresh. This will be our first and last visit.

It's looks like a nice place. I'd give it a second chance which will be easy to do after you email a complaint, let them know your feelings & they comp your next meal.

I cooked a mess of scrumptious red beans and rice this evening with plenty of ham. Taking some over to my brother's for lunch tomorrow. His wife is cooking Shrimp Fettucini.
