84,000 Military retirees owe an average of 18 Thousand Dollars? I'd really like to know how these numbers were computed.

I suppose the same way any of them were. My question is how they could when the same govt that issues them their retirement checks is the same govt that can garnish their retirement checks.

Yeah, you'd think that they'd just garner the taxes due out of the pension payments. Lord knows the military doesn't even bother telling you when they dock your pay because they over paid you.
