McCain should be ashamed. Updated at 1:40 PM

The Conservative assault on government was well-advanced by 2008 but the seminal event was when John McCain picked Sarah Palin. That broke the dam and opened up national office to utterly unqualified ignoramuses. This, I predict, will be McCain's enduring legacy: that he defiled the American electoral process. A fundamentally un-American act and a complete lack of patriotic honor. McCain should be ashamed.

9. I have been saying that he is the worst politician out there for putting her potentially a heartbeat

away from the Oval Office for his own selfish needs. Even
though there are so many horrific Repub politicians, what he
did has been the most dangerous thing a politician can do.
But it is so typical of McCain.

8. I hope McCain rots in hell. He sold his soul to win office. Gultless pig.

They are blaming McCain, but the truth is that if there is a President Palin it will be because Obama is such a failure that Democrats lose big time.

And at the same time Biden is one heart beat away from the office. Do these people think at all?

Oh wait... sorry, dumb question.

Worse, O Blah Blah IS the POTUS and he has Chancey Gardner as a 2nd. If those two forgot to breathe for a few minutes, Nancy Plastic Face PeeLousy is the next. These DUmb liberals believe that a potential Palin presidency is worse than these current Marxist idiots.

I think Palin would be a pretty horrible president. McCain would probably be mediocre at best, and I have a feeling he would be Socialism Lite and he's probably to the left of Bill Clinton fiscally. I can't say long term whether either would be better or worse than Obama, since you never know until they're elected and until about 10 years later when the full effects of the policies are realized. However, I can say that Obama *is* the president, so I don't understand why the focus is on last term's also-rans.

Actually, I do.

I still find it funny that they think a community organizer is well qualified to be president but a governor is not.

They think that because Chicago is a "real" city with "real" people while Alaska isn't even fly-over country and it's populated by crazy rednecks and Inuit tribes who want to shoot Bambi and run their godforsaken snowmobiles all over the pristine wilderness.

I'm wavering between "until the next time it snows" and "who cares?". :p

I dunno, she may stumble a few times at first but she appears to be a quick study and can recover admirably. The Lynch pin of whether she would do good is predicate upon who she would surround herself as ad visors and cabinet posts. In that regard I believe she would do a bang up job in picks and following their counsel.

Not meaning to draw a comparison but if you recall many folks thought Reagan would do a horrible job as President.
