Just wanted to issue a congratulations to my Republican friends here for your party's victories in the House and Senate.
This is our government at it's finest, with the people's voices being heard, and I'm glad for it.
So once more, Congrats :)

Every election and peaceful transition of power is a victory for our Republic.
We have a system in place that many would die to have.
I hope the Democratic candidates who won tonight as well govern more as centrists, and shake off the far left elements.]

It's a great sentiment. Sadly, the ones who are left will be those from safe ( i.e., leftist) districts, and will be much more likely to retreat leftward. On the plus side, this will further erode the Democratic Party's standing among anyone to the right of, well, Pelosi, and as much as I'm enjoying the spectacle of watching liberals crash and burn, we are not well served by a system that consists of one relatively sane party and one made up of complete loons.

The Dems don't realize that this is a win for them too, they would destroy themselves if they got through everything they wanted.

Let's see if the Republicans learned anything from their brief wandering in the wilderness.

THAT, my friend, is the heart of the matter.

And this: Obama has been placed on notice. He is FINISHED.

That is not at all gauranteed. If he's smart, and plays nice with the Republicans now, he may very well do what Clinton did in 96.

If he continues to fight tooth and nail against them, then he's assured to be voted out.

I have mixed feelings, but I'm glad that Nancy Pelosi won't be Speaker of the House. I'm not a huge Boehner fan, though.
