Some bags had enough lead that they could be considered hazardous waste if residents put them in their household trash.

I don't use those. I get plastic bags, and use them to line my waste basket after I'm done with grocery shopping. Or I use them for carrying my wet swimsuit home from the pool.

I have canvas bags. They could be radioactive for all I know or care.

I like the plastic bags. I use them to put used cat litter in.
