Big names in it. Bridges, Brolin, Damon. Still gonna be hard to top the original in which John Wayne won an Oscar.

I'm going to watch it but my expectations aren't going to be high.

Can't beat the original;

It's got to be good with Bridges. Would rather see someone else than Damon though.

Yeah, but I had to smile when I realized that he was playing the part that Glen Campbell played in the original. They look so much alike:

I have no idea why this would be done, but the Cohen's are doing it, so I gots to go check it out. Not to mention they've got some heavy hitting stars for this one.

Sure hope the script is as sharp and witty as No country for old men.

no No NO! This is so wrong!
I will boycott this.

It would be like going to watch a remake of an Elvis movie with someone else
playing Elvis. You can't remake a John Wayne movie, that's just sacrilegious.
And a libtard like Matt Damon playing a Texas Ranger....ghey. :rolleyes:

I was hoping against hope they would make a sequel to No Country For Old Men! They kinda left it open for one!

I'll wait for the new Grit to come out on dvd.

Unlike a lot of old-timers here I'm not into john Wayne movies but I did like the first true grit movie, that being said I think bridges will do well in this movie.

You know they did that to "Change of Habit". I don't remember who starred in it, though. It's kind of hard to replace Elvis and MTM.

I'm okay with it as long as it's not Rooster Cogburn, and they're not trying to replace Kate with Ashley Tinsdale or something.

I wasn't crazy about it the first time, so I doubt I'll see a remake.
