Staten Island's Wild Turkeys

- The streets of the South Beach section of Staten Island are a bit more crowded in recent times. Dozens and dozens of turkeys run wild in the vicinity of Seaview Avenue: On the grass, side streets, and on the busy main streets.

The birds cause major traffic headaches, according to residents.

Once you turn them into Turkey Enchiladas, they are no where near as terrifying. :)

Once you turn them into Turkey Enchiladas, they are no where near as terrifying. :)We had a few this year in the orchard .Tall cocks, sleek looking and very quiet.
They ate some of the spilled chicken scratch and gobbled the sand from the kids sandbox and left.
Not much meat on those critters and they're a bit gamey. The cost of shooting one out of season is astronomical .Better to buy one at sixty cents a pound and it's much sweeter tasting .
