its simple really. everyone should remember one succinct talking point. every blogger, every congressman, every talk show host, every entertainer. everyone reading this should remember this next time you get into an argument in public, on facebook, etc. EVERYONE should hammer this point home time and time again in the most complete terms in one line that makes sense of everything and takes away all the bullshit the rights tossing out. all the lies about small businesses, jobs, government, deficits, etc.

all we need is one line to rule them all.

"if the bush tax cuts and deregulation worked out so well, why did we end up in a recession surrounded by record breaking deficits because of it?"

hammer this point home AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. one simple, concise and consistent talking point that hammers home the simple message that what the republican party is selling is poison to the American public.

OMG!!! I guess answering back Housing Boom Bust and Economic Cycles (you know DUmmies, the cycles that President Clinton said were no longer in play) won't make them happy??? :D

and of course we can point out that the economy was ticking along fine until 2007 when the dems took over in congress and started passing their anti-prosperity agenda.

The problem with that is the fact that the housing market was set to collapse based on the lending practices of the mortgage industry. But no matter who was in charge that was bound to happen based on the loosening of credit requirements under Clinton. As the housing industry went so did all the industries that were dependent on the housing industry. I am in no way defending liberals, but to lay the current economic issues at the feet of the 2007 congress doesn't fly. They didn't help matters in any way but they were only a minor contributing factor to a situation that was practically unavoidable in 2007.

This, and how the unemployment rate was at a paltry 4.4% when the Democrats took over Congress and is at 9.8% now. Also, Bush took over a faltering economy from Clinton and under Bush, the economy grew. But if these idiots want to play this game, return that question with "if spending was the way to get out of this, how come things have gotten progressively worse since Obama has been in office?" Not to mention, "where are my unicorns and rainbows?" Here's what the idiots don't get. Bush was in office for 2 bubble bursts: the tech stock bubble and the housing bubble. Not to mention 9/11 and 2 wars and the economy still grew until the Dems took over in 2007.

Any blame that is due can be laid ENTIRELY at the feet of liberal policy. Certainly the 2007/2008 congress were not the major factor, but liberal housing policy combined with the defeat of a sound energy policy that led to the oil price spike IS what caused it.

Even the mistakes made by Republicans were liberal mistakes.

These Liberal talking points were hatched out with the same old stupid method; the empty chair.

If you look, KingOfLostSouls never took into account someone countering his statement; this what happens when debate empty chairs your whole life. You come up with stupid statements which don't last three seconds in the real world.

DU is place where everyone thinks the same; and when that happens, no one thinks much at all.

Even the mistakes made by Republicans were liberal mistakes.

There is no diffrence between the two parties back then, just the speed at which they acted.
