I know this should go somewhere else, but the Lions beating anyone, let alone a team in their division with a winning record, is news.:D

In a related story, ice skates and skis are now being sold at a record pace in Hell... :D

I can understand your jubilation. The Saints fans have endured many years of losing seasons with the bag over the head (aints). They finally got into the Super Bowl and won it.

I keep telling you guys, the Lions are not a bad team anymore. It has not shown up in their record, but I guarantee you that teams fighting for a playoff spot do NOT want to have the Lions still on their schedule.

Guys,

I had to move this but I can see why it was placed in Breaking News.

Next year we will be talking Super Bowl for the Lions.

In the mean time lets talk Stanley Cup for the Wings.

I didn't know they were already selling tickets. :D

yes they won...but how much of it should be placed on the fact that Rodgers went out with a Concussion and Matt Flynn threw a bad INT in the redzone that cost them the win.

I also put a lot of blame on McCarthy not challenging the Jennings TD and just shoddy playcallng in general

I've actually been to this store.

Been there and a bar called the "Dam Site Inn" just across the parking lot.
When I did more riding than I do now, we always stopped in Hell once or twice a year.
ABATE of Michigan used to throw some pretty good parties there and most poker runs in the area will always go through Hell

Went Squirrel hunting with my Grandfather in Hell two years ago. Nice little town.

Only if it is somehow played at Ford Field.:D

Flynn actually moved the ball MUCH better than Rogers did. Could have been the halftime chewing out the Packers surely received, but they did not move the ball at ALL with Rogers in there.

In the mean time lets talk Stanley Cup for the Wings.

Let's not simply because then someone from Pittsburg will start on about how Crosby is the greatest in the league and it is much too early in the season to start listening to that crap.:p

Pssh... Crosby is the only thing keeping Pittsburgh where it's at. Put them in the Western Division and that 12 game streak would have been a day dream. The Wings, pound for pound, are a much better team.

I try to look at the bright side.

On the other hand, should it be deemed that I live long enough to see the Lions win a Superbowl it should virtually guarantee immortality.
I've been a Michighanistanovianist since I was born in 1956 and they have yet to win the championship in my lifetime. That is pretty freaking sad!

I'm right there with you - except I am the eternal optimist. Every Sept. I am convinced they are ready for their Super Bowl run.

Next year, though, it REALLY is going to happen. I can feel it!

Yes, I think the Lions can get direct flight tickets from Detroit Metro to at least close to Arlington. They should buy their tickets soon. Prices go up if you don't book at least 14 days in advance.

Yes and according to O'Toole's commentary, so was Murphy.:o

Hell must have indeed frozen over:

The Loins won.

The Bills won.

The Vikings have to play a home game in Detroit.

The highest scoring team in the league could only muster 3 points on the Lions.

And the Cardinals beat the Broncos for the first time in their existence. Not only that, at one time the score was 22-6 and their kicker was responsible for all 22 of the points scored at that time including scoring a TD on a fake FG.

What else. Oh yeah, a Jets coach actually tripped up a player on the other team.

The Rams are in 1st place with a 6-7 record and even the 4-9 Cardinals are still in the hunt.

This has been by far one of the strangest days I've ever seen in the NFL.
