We need to rush through the tax cut..that raises taxes on the poor????
If you make $20,000 or less your taxes rise under this plan. Just the kind of help poor people are looking for...the shaft.



This is the second place on the internet I've seen this. I'd really love to know what the hell they are talking about. But he isn't the target of this thread.

recipients got last year have the same stimulative effect as the payroll tax cut? The Obama plan is tilted to the upper income people too, anyone making over $106000 gets a $2120 break. The people making under $20000 get $400 or less. SS recipients get nothing. Didn't the making work pay plan give a married couple $800 and a single $400?

"help" with the work plan.

I replied that, contrary to what so many of you don't seem to get, many USians can't work.

And, of course, not only did you call me names, but you added the RW tactic of "don't WANT to work".

There is no point in carrying if further, as clearly there is no desire to understand what some people are living with... real hell.

Now someone did lay out how the Bush Tax cuts are only a BOON to lower income people. They use cold hard numbers to prove it. And... the post is ignored. Not a single response.

Whats really cool is that he showed me I'll be getting a 7k tax refund this year. Go deployment!!!! :D

There are some mathematics that show for certain lower income levels the loss of the "make work pay" kickback to the 1% FICA reduction will result in a net loss. I am not going to search for it and post it because I don't frankly care that much, but the data is out there to support the claim.

As to the claim that their taxes will rise, that is typical progressive rhetoric. Their taxes will not rise, their refunds will shrink. These are not the same thing. Most people at the 20K mark get a 100% refund on taxes withheld plus a tax credit that increases their refund so that they get back more than what was withheld. (Before anyone starts picking nits, note I said most people and yes there are exceptions and exclusions)

But back to bobbo the hobbo...

I take it that this person never had an elementary school math education or at least it didn't deal with fractions and percentages. I mean, even breaking it down simply by saying that everyone gets a 2% tax cut, just by mere basic mathematics clears this up, should it? It's amazing how this person doesn't get that. 2% of 100,000 is 2,000 and 2% of 20,000 is 400. Basic math for crying out loud.

My wife, who gave up her decent paying job so she can work from home, works from home. Took her all of 15 minutes to find a work from home job. It doesn't make her a million dollars but she's happy. She rolls out of the rack, takes a shower, grabs her coffee, and goes downstairs to our office and works from there.
