Some of the formations have been carved out by men for dwellings. The formations themselves are natural ones.

Just to give a quick hint, it's been long since destroyed and the pic here is the restoration but it's a famous off beat site that was, in a way, shown in a movie about a fictitious rock and roll band.

I'll give it to you. It's called the Homestead Stacks. It's what remains of the open hearth furnaces from the US Steel Homestead Works. :) It's in the Waterfront shopping development. Interesting fact: the development company that bought the site from US Steel - purchased the site for several million dollars. They then tore down the building on the site and sold the scrap back to US Steel for more than 4 times what they paid for the site to begin with. :rolleyes: So they turned a profit just by tearing down the buildings!
