The Barack Obama administration has decided to lift a ban preventing Muslim Scholar Professor Tariq Ramadan from entering the United States.

Ramadan, an Egyptian currently living in Switzerland, is a leading member of Europe’s Muslim Brotherhood branch and the grandson of the movement’s founder Hassan al-Banna. The Muslim Brotherhood is the parent organization for Hamas and some of the groups that recently merged into al-Qaeda, including Ayman al Zawahiri’s Egyptian Islamic Jihad.

Ramadan was invited to teach at the University of Notre Dame in 2004 but the George W. Bush administration revoked his visa, citing a statute that applies to those who have “endorsed or espoused” terrorism. The administration later dropped the terror endorsement claim and linked the ban to $1,336 in donations Ramadan made between 1998 and 2002 to a Swiss charity that was later blacklisted by the US.

Somebody in the administration is acting foolish.

How about "everybody" instead of just "somebody".

Somebody in the administration is acting foolish.

That's the understatement of the year.

It's just another demonstration of their loyalty to the Muslim side on all issues. I fear for Israel if the only states that don't openly call for their destruction are toppled.

As far as Obama goes, it's further evidence of their unwillingness to take a stand against terrorism. Wait, they won't use that term.:mad:

Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, so far. I guess Lebanon is gone. If it hasn't happened yet, Jordan will experience it. Then Israel is surrounded, and the Clueless One will sit back and do nothing when this year or next, they go after Israel.

What happens to the Suez Canal if Egypt falls? Will they become selective as to who is allowed to use it? Will we sit on our hands then? Probably. Dear Leader is among the most inept I have ever seen concerning foreign affairs. And his sec of state is just as bad.

This is what happens when we've got a POTUS who suffers from delusions of adequacy. I've said it a hundred times: before this idiot is out of office, we'll be looking back with fondness at the Carter administration.

The current crop of idiots never wanted the responsibilities of governance, they wanted the trappings of power. Actual decision making comes when there are no choices left. That way, they can always claim they were presented a crap sandwich.
