LOL. They are so fixated on Sarah Palin that they have to give pep talks before 'abstaining' from talking about her.

Anyone taking bets on how long they last?

Count Me In: February is Palin-free Month
By: Pamela Leavey

Dana Milbank at the WaPo has declared that February will be Palin-free month. I’ve thought for a longtime that everytime Palin gets a mention in the news, on the blogs, on the radio, TV, wherever… She is continuing to be empowered to do and say the inane and insulting things she does and says. That’s why I am joining Dana Milbank and pledging to be Palin-free for the month of February and perhaps beyond:

With enough support, I believe we may even be able to extend the moratorium beyond one month, but we are up against a powerful compulsion, and we must take this struggle day by day.

The logic via Milbank:

Palin clearly isn’t going away: “I am not going to sit down. I’m not going to shut up,” she told Hannity on Monday. But if we treat her a little less like a major political figure and a little more like Ann Coulter — a calculating individual who says shocking things to attract media attention — it won’t matter.

Sarah Palin has been given far more attention and far more influence than ever deserved. It’s time to turn that around… I Pledge To Be Palin-free.

I'm just glad that Jon Stewart didn't agree to ignore Palin for a month.

Meltdown (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x346874). They are completely incapable of controlling themselves. They are so consumed by rage and hatred that they cannot even manage to pass by a three-sentence news story of less than zero consequence.

Hmmm. They lasted how many days?

Actually this isn't the first Sarah Palin thread I've seen over there. It is one of the stupidest though.

I know you guys don't want to talk about her, but this is tooooo funny :)

Sarah Palin trademark application refused - for now

(Reuters) - Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's bid to trademark both her name and that of her daughter Bristol ran into trouble at the Patent and Trademark Office because the application forms were not signed, government records show.

Applications to trademark the names Sarah Palin and Bristol Palin were filed on November 5, by the Palin's longtime family attorney, Thomas Van Flein, but were quickly slapped down by a trademark examiner.

"Registration is refused because the applied-for mark, SARAH PALIN, consists of a name identifying a particular living individual whose consent to register the mark is not of record," the patent and trademark office said in an office action.

They consistently look like fools over there at DU.

Sarah Palin should not be discussed this month.

(Ahem). However, it is important to note that she's a very beautiful politician.

Let's see if they can keep from talking about this post.
