Ok, true. He gave speeches. Anti American speeches, but speeches. Is that really "doing" something?

Don't waste the vomit. We've been through this before with people who claim to have been nominated or claim that their hero was nominated. Nobel Prize official nominations are secret. So this is BS.

Don't waste the vomit. We've been through this before with people who claim to have been nominated or claim that their hero was nominated. Nobel Prize official nominations are secret. So this is BS.

Snorre Valen, 24, a member of the country's Socialist Left Party, announced his submission to the Nobel Committee Wednesday on his blog.

...

Typically, candidates for the prize are kept secret for 50 years unless the nominator makes his or her pick known. Only a select group of government officials and members of academia can propose candidates for the award, according to committee rules.

----

Now keep in mind, being nominated and awarded are two different things.

Remember, Adolf Hitler was nominated in 1939 by Erik Brandt, a member of the Swedish parliament.
Joseph Stalin was nominated in 1948 by Wladislav Rieger a a Czech politician.
And Benito Mussolini as well as Fidel Castro.

To nominate is easy. And the committee has basically said he likely won't get it.

To nominate is easy. And the committee has basically said he likely won't get it. But given their history of giving the prize to Anti-American idiots and far left firebrands - remember they have the award in 2004 to Wangari Maathai who said of HIV that it was: "deliberately created by Western scientists to decimate the African population.". . .so . . . he's still in the running.

Whew, done! It was an arduous battle consisting of writing my self nomination on a postcard. I should receive confirmation within a few days. I have done as much as O Blah Blah and Carter to promote world peace and certainly more than Arafat (PPBOH).:cool:

I'm willing to give the benefit of doubt she didn't say that.

It was first reported in "The Standard" which is a Kenya news paper. Small and possible Gov. ties. It didn't use much in the way of sources.

She later did say;

"I have no idea who created AIDS and whether it is a biological agent or not. But I do know things like that don't come from the moon. I have always thought that it is important to tell people the truth, but I guess there is some truth that must not be too exposed,"

which was followed up by;

"I have warned people against false beliefs and misinformation such as attributing this disease to a curse from God or believing that sleeping with a virgin cures the infection. These prevalent beliefs in my region have led to an upsurge in rape and violence against children. It is within this context, also complicated by the cultural and religious perspective, that I often speak. I have therefore been shocked by the ongoing debate generated by what I am purported to have said. It is therefore critical for me to state that I neither say nor believe that the virus was developed by white people or white powers in order to destroy the African people. Such views are wicked and destructive."

Now remember with her, she got her Noble for opposing the corrupt Kenya Gov. So they would have reason to try and discredit her.
