A monster quake and sunami hit Japan. Pictures on Fox now. Flooding is amazing with people in cars trying to escape on elevated highways but they are trapped as the water gets closer and closer to them. Just amazing. God help these people.

And now the tsunami warning horns are going off in Honolulu Hawaii.

It's probably about 4-5 hours from Hawaii. I would anticipate maybe a 6ft tsunami.

It's a tsunami watch, not an alert. The worst is over now, and Japan is reeling. Pray for them all.

Lets just be glad that it happened to Japan, and not some other country. I doubt there is a country in the world that is as well designed to handle this as Japan is.

I hope Japan will be thankful for the support that will come to them from the US 7th Fleet. I understand the Reagan, Tortuga and Mt. Whitney are in route.

it's terrible. The loss of life is heartbreaking. What i find ironic is that we are praying to God for mercy for these people and they are shinto and buddhist. I'm definitely not condemning praying for them. I pray God has mercy on them.

I'm not sure. Are there any muslim warships taking relief supplies to them?

Please don't politicize this.

oh for crying out loud. That's not politicizing. If anything it's religious-izing.

I've actually heard that Japan is now sending Christian missionaries to the U.S.

I believe it was Fuchida who converted to Christianity. Fuchida lead the Pearl Harbor attack.

Japan is as well prepared for this kind of thing as anybody in the world, and look what happened. The nuclear power plant is a particularly frightening scenario that seems like it worsened overnight.

Does it really matter if Japan has a Christian population? Seriously? Thousands of people are dead and CU is bringing up the 2nd World War and religious differences to try and fit this into some twisted, awful narrative. You guys are fucking disgusting.

Yup and our Secretary of State went out of her way to say the USAF was delivering coolant for the reactors. Then she retracted the very specific comment.

When FedEx isn't good enough, you use the USAF. A rapid shipment of coolant tells me they have a great deal of suspicion the reactor vessel itself cracked. The coolant in question circulates around the rods, soaks up heat, transfers heat to water in heat exchanger, then coolant is returned to the reactor. Not much different than a complex car radiator. When do you add coolant to your car radiator??? Only if it leaks out through a hole or blown engine block.

Since they are bringing in more coolant for a normally closed system tells me the reactor is heading for a full proper meltdown.

Yes I see the denial. However, why would Hilary cite "reactor coolant" in her comments? This is a rather specific item to say we are rushing to Japan when, at the time, there was no public indication of any immenent reactor problems. The first thing the military rushes in is "humanitarian aid" not "reactor coolant"
