I want to start this thread out by saying that I support the bombing of Libya. IMO, it's a long time coming and we should have killed Gadaffi years ago. That said, the left, aside from a few voices, are strangely quiet on the issue. When Bush took us into Iraq, he went through congress first and congress approved military action and it wasn't just Republicans who voted for it. However, in this case, not only did Obama not seek approval from congress, he didn't tell them until we were hours from bombing Libya. And Hillary Clinton is said to be a big cog in this decision. However, when it came to Iran while Bush was in office, Clinton felt quite differently on a president making this decision on his own:

Once again, it's one rule for the left and a different set of rules for everyone else.

it's true that many liberal democrats don't knnow what to make of this but they are hiding behind the "it doesn't count it's not a real war".

however, if this were to escalate into a larger scale operation with ground troops you better believe the more mainstream liberals will come out against it.

Not a stretch as they already have come out against his inaction concerning Iraq and Afghanistan. However, it won't be as loud as the Bush years. There will not be any protests on the scale of the Iraq War protests. Not even close. Oh, you might see some signs or hear some rumblings but you will not see anything near this:

Hell, pic #2 was leading up to the Iraq War so we should be seeing this now, right? But we won't.

It's almost as if real leftism is dead in the United States and all that is left are milquetoast liberal democrats.
