Ohio Lawmakers Pass Collective Bargaining Reform Bill

The two houses of the Ohio Legislature approved a far-reaching bill on Wednesday that would hobble the ability of public-employee unions to bargain collectively and undercut their political clout.

.....

The bill would bar public employees from striking and would prohibit binding arbitration for police officers and firefighters. It would allow bargaining over wages, but not health coverage and pensions and would allow public-employee unions to bargain only when the public employer chose to do so....

The bill would allow public employees who are covered by union contracts but who choose not to belong to the union to opt out of paying union dues or fees. The bill would also bar any governmental unit in Ohio from deducting any part of a worker’s paycheck and giving it to the union for political activities unless the worker gave express permission....

woot!! and the domino's start to fall on the union's hold. Wisconsin stopped withholding Union dues this week after the law was finally printed in the Wisconsin State Journal.

In other news out of Ohio, a guy got so incredibly obese that he could not get up from his chair, so 2 years of festering refuse resulted in him being fused to the fabric by the skin.

Go Ohio! Go! I'm beginning to see why LeBron left.

I am beginning to see why you are such a dumb ass. Both of these stories is old news and has been previously posted.

Back on topic though. Taking the unions down a notch will be good for the taxpayers and believe it or not good for the unions. Pension funds will run out of money if major changes are not made. The Feds can print money; the states can not.

Actually, some parts of Ohio are very nice. Dresden, Berlin, Sugarcreek, basically the Amish country part is very nice.
