After seeing what I get to pay Obama and his band of thieves this year, I think I should give all the board libs a timeout for the week of April 15th, after all, they voted for him, and they think we should cut the deficit by "taxing the rich".

Anyone wish to comment?

I'm just thinking that after paying more in Federal income tax this year, than all of them make combined, it would be a good week for them to be "scarce".

Not even they could be happy with libs after tax day.

Shit. If we timed out all the tax and spend and spend and spend supporters, I'd be the only one left.

That'd be boring.

They may get a timeout for real, BC, if the government gets a well-deserved timeout (aka shutdown) itself. Boy will the maggots be whining then. :D

Nah, the checks will keep coming either way. ;)

I didn't pay in as much as last year(over $20K) but at least I got enough back to get new windows on the house.

I have not started on mine yet cause I know it is going to be bad news. Being retired and having to pay on my income and investments is one thing but having to include 85% of S.S. sucks,

We "get" to pay an extra $3800 this year, on top of the amount that was withheld during the year.

I forgot about the 2% discount for FICA. That should help me a bit. No losses on my stocks, so that willhurt. Income was up, so that will hurt as well. I get to add more to my 401 k so that will help. We'll see what the Piper says. Of course I'm getting my mechanic's bill at about the same time. April is going to be a very expensive month...I'll be getting a phone call from my banker.

I checked out a used 2009 Porsche Cayman for $40k. Not too bad price wise. The salesman told me oil changes were 400 bucks. I was afraid to ask about brake jobs. Probably in the $3k range. Expensive maintenance like that keeps me from getting one.

400 bucks for a oil change?

holy shit fuck a porche.

300 bucks is average for a basic oil change?

Fuck that.

The salesman did tell me that they do a few other things for that price. For major maintenance, the Porsche dealership probably has a loan department just in case your checkbook can not handle the repair costs.:rolleyes:

I have changed the oil 3 times on my car at a cost of around a 100 bucks.

Yeah but Feeble is one of those 100%'er types...thinks we're all a bunch of RINO's and he's the only Conservative on this board.

I think his John Birch Society membership card is #0002.

Yeah, the maintenance is pricey, especially if you use the dealership. I generally use the dealership, but I just had to have major work done and went instead to a private place that specializes in high performance cars. The amount was slightly less expensive, but I have more faith in it, as they indicated that previous work done was not done correctly.

I think, however, that $400 is a bit on the high side. Should be more in the area of around $150.

Mine costs only $137.00 if I get just the oil change and I only have to have it done once a year or every 15,000 miles.

That I can handle.
