Progressives really don’t seem to like the way that America works, and they are on a mission of change. But they don’t just want a change from the Bush years, they really do want to fundamentally change the way the country works. On radio, Glenn looked at several examples of the fundamental transformation Progressives are pursuing in this country.

Andy Stern has written an op-ed that calls for a change in checks and balances at the federal level. “In the midst of the transformative change of globalization and this third economic revolution, those layers have become an impediment to making the changes necessary to keep America competitive in the world economy. Today America crawls along as a snail’s pace,” Glenn read from Stern’s piece.

“He is actually now beginning to lay out the argument that the checks and balances system of the Constitution is no good,” Glenn said.

“Most frequent visitor to the White House when he was with SEIU,” Pat pointed out.

“But I’m sure the President doesn’t believe any of this nonsense,” Glenn said.

With all of these stories coming out, Glenn wondered if the Justice Department would ever stop and take a look at what the union leaders have been calling for.

Brian Becker, another progressive leader with the Party for Socialism and Liberation, has been saying that nonviolence isn’t the answer to achieving their goals.

“The people in Venezuela and the people in Cuba and the people everywhere who want to be free is build a revolutionary party, an organization and movement in the United States that can fight and defeat U.S. imperialism,” he said.

There've been protests in Austin this week against state budget cuts. What are you doing online when there is a community to be organized and wasteful spending to protect?

It is laughable to watch these idiot leftists attempt to act concerned over these minor cuts at the expense of women, children, and old people. Sounds a bit like their favorite "fear mongering" label they are always accusing Conservatives of.

This false concern by "compassionate liberals" is not over the tired meme of old people eating dog food or woman's right to kill their baby. No, it is because these attacks take tax payer money away from DIMS and their voting block. It therefore amounts to a frontal assault on DIMWIToRAT's power base.

Progressives

I HATE that word. "Progressives". Any Conservative that uses that word is suspect in my book. That's a word the liberals created to stand in place of the word "liberal" because it has fallen out of favor. To use that word is to buy into their Orwellian Doublespeak. Like "Terrorism" is now "Man Caused Disaster". "War" is now "Kinetic Military Action".

On July 23rd, 2007, then-presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton let out the battle cry heard around the world in the CNN-YouTube Democratic Debate: the left will begin to re-use the term 'progressive' to define themselves. In her words, when asked straight up, "How would you define the word 'liberal' and would you use this word to define yourself?" she replied, "I prefer the word 'progressive' which has a real American meaning going back to the Progressive Era at the beginning of the 20th century. I consider myself a modern progressive."

Wise up people.
