View Full Version : Obama’s Habit of Trashing His Invited Guests

Yesterday President Obama denounced Paul Ryan’s plan to reduce the deficit as one that would end America as a “generous and compassionate” nation, and suggested, as the Wall Street Journal notes, that it would pit “children with autism or Down’s syndrome” against “every millionaire and billionaire in our society.” (The president’s busy schedule continues today with three DNC fundraisers in Chicago; the good news is that he can reuse yesterday’s speech at today’s partisan events.)

Some are expressing surprise that Obama demonized the Ryan plan so ferociously after inviting Paul Ryan to attend and with the congressman sitting in front of him. This morning, Joe Scarborough said it was “just not what you want to do when dealing with a crisis of this magnitude,” and Mark Halperin called the decision “weird.”

But this is nothing new for Obama. Recall his demagogic attack on the Supreme Court’s Citizens United case with six justices in front of him, prompting Justice Alito to shake his head in frustration and mouth, “not true.” There was intense argument over whether Obama breached decorum by attacking the justices in front of him, or whether Alito broke decorum by visibly showing his irritation.

I'm not surprised. He has a clear and evident enemies list. And he has no qualms about bringing them out and humiliating them in public.

Every single Republican should refuse to meet with this jerk until he starts acting like a freaking grown up and not a spoiled little shit

Did they get their feelers hurt? Did the Kenyan, Muslim socialist who may have been born in America (I have to take his word on it) say mean things?

The president did say one thing that was correct - those that have benefited most - can most afford to give. His mistake is in trying to paint the rich as those who have benefited. They have not benefited. They have WORKED. Those that benefit the most are the public sector unions who thrive and flourish on our tax dollars - and those who live on the public dole. These two groups can most afford to give.

OH and don't you just love how he called tax cuts SPENDING.

he outright lied about Ryan and his purposal and it's not the first time he's done this shit. This guy is a ideologue hack and has no desire to be bipartisan, so why bother dealing with him.

In other words, he didn't roll over and say how the Ryan plan was the bestest thing ever.

no, i have no problem with them criticizing a plan but he went beyond that, the speech was less about his plan and the benefits of it and more a campaign and direct attack on Paul Ryan's plan, but it was an extremely partisan hack job, particularly for a sitting President

Ryan's plan, that appears to have the backing of the Republican House, ends the Medicare guarantee to seniors, seriously alters Medicaid, and takes the savings from that spending on seniors and poor and uses it to reduce taxes on the upper income brackets. Now, you may believe that it a great idea and private insurance death panels can deny coverage to ten times as many people for half the cost but other think it is extremely offensive. It appears the president is one of those so chances are when you put out a plan that tells Americans to bend over (unless you got a fat wallet), don't be surprised if there is a little push back.

Oh, and if you are so frail that you cannot handle a policy disagreement, you might want to find something to do other than legislate.

That whole thing above is one giant propaganda lie.

Obama Refuses to Dine With 'Humiliated' Israeli Leader

For a head of government to visit the White House and not pose for photographers is rare. For a key ally to be left to his own devices while the President withdraws to have dinner in private was, until this week, unheard of. Yet that is how Binyamin Netanyahu was treated by President Obama on Tuesday night, according to Israeli reports on a trip viewed in Jerusalem as a humiliation.

Not mean things. Complete lies and falsehoods.

Fabrications that you seem completely at ease with furthering.

I notice a partisan prick like you has nothing to say about Obama's plan to cut 500 billions dollars out of Medicare, call it a a reduction and transfer the money to Medicaid. Even loser Democraps can ascertain that is double counting, voodoo accounting or lying out of his ass. The 15% cut in Doctor fees and Hospitals is also in the Abominations plan WHICH IS LAW. Ryan plan is just that a plan. You do know the difference between a law and a plan?

Republiicians should play hardball with the asshole in the WH. Pass legislation in the House and tell the President to either like or lump it. We won. That is what Pisslosi did. Boehner should refuse to have any more meetings with the Magic Negro.
