Good evening everyone -- I am new, joined a couple of weeks ago. I am a retired science teacher (Biology, chemistry, physics, marine biology, AP biology, environment -- and math) and fought against the liberal attitudes in our schools for 40 years.

Hubby and I are both very conservative - Regan conservatives. Got to this list through StLouiewoman who told me about it. Glad to be here ...

Welcome, Holly. I could sing a tune, "Hello Dolly (Holly), it's so nice to have you here where you belong, but you wouldn't want to hear me sing. :D

Holly also didn't tell you that she's the proud owner of greyhounds. We've "known" each other for years as members of an informal little group of greyhound owners from all over the US who have become friends.

We always tiptoed around political stuff til we found that we were very like minded. Now I get some killer political (and other) jokes from Holly. I hope that she posts some of her best in the Humor section.

Welcome. I suspect that you will be very helpful in the global warming threads, with your background. We have a few libs who are impervious to facts and logic, and you will have your work cut out for you.
