I've been looking for a recipe to fit my taste. The layers are wonderfully thin...at least seven of them with caramel between each layer and then covered in Caramel
I could get it online for $45.00 but i am challenged into doing it on my own as i did with my Rum Cake Recipe....this one is proving to be a bit harder.
Here's a picture if i desire to purchase it and i may have to go this route if i can't master this. This cake is fantastic...from personal experience.

This is not my cup of tea but here's a link to a 10 layer Southern caramel cake that may work for you:

THAT is the best recipe for instructions i've seen so far. I don't want the nuts, i don't want chocolate between the layers though. ALL caramel. I don't care for caramel but i have a thing for a really good caramel cake.

Just leave that part out. It certainly looks like the commercial one anyway.

That Montana Gold cake looks luscious, too, the same as the caramel cake, but with chocolate dough instead of yellow. Yum!
