Yes, it’s true. Another gator has gotten into trouble with the law. This time it involved trying to take a bite out of a patrol car.

On Saturday, a 10-foot alligator bit down on the front bumper of a Crown Victoria that belongs to the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy driving the car, Victor Borrero, had to slowly back up the vehicle several feet to get the alligator to release the front bumper of the green-and-white car.
FWC spokeswoman Karen Parker said this alligator, like all other nuisance gators more than 4 feet long, was dispatched by the trapper. The trapper was then allowed to keep the meat and hide.

Kelly said the front bumper of the patrol car was heavily damaged.
