I hate rap. I also hate even more than rap those songs that have
a really fuzzy harsh sound with a low screaming vocal. I don't
know what you'd call it exactly but this is example of what I hate:

I can't stand rap!!! I hate it with a passion. I also can't stand Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Justin Gayber, Cee Lo, or anybody who has to use auto tune to sound even remotely good. I don't like disco either.

I can't stand Death metal either.

I remember when metal/rock meant stuff like Ozzy Osbourne,Iron Maiden,or Led Zeppelin. Not the screamo, death metal stuff they play at Hot Topic.

I hate rap, Kenny G, Lawrence Welk and that stupid champagne music (I used to watch reruns of it with my mom at the nursing home, really, really hated it). I also hate whiners like Bob Dylan.

My biggest hate is kids who roll down the road with their rap or whatever so loud that it sounds like their whole car is vibrating (and mine). :D

I don't mind some rap (I actually still really like the older I hate whitey stuff), I just hate when they actually try to sing too. I don't like most pop music since the late 80's and I don't like what I consider modern r&b.

I go back before them with groups like Sugar Hill Gang, Kurtis Blow, Afrikka Bambata and the Soul Sonic Force, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Grandmaster Flash. When rap was about partying and having fun not busting caps in niggaz, killing cops, and raping 'ho's.

I listen to just about everything from rap to big band. I don't think there are entire genres of music that I hate. I even like one of Lady Gaga's songs (but it's better when Eric Cartman rocks it!).

There are plenty individual songs and artists I hate. Songs that are overly cheesy but are expected to be taken seriously. Things that are autotuned all over the place. Rap songs whose sole purpose is to proclaim how much of a rich, bad-ass, "playa" the artist is.

The one genre I hate the most music from has got to be "House", or "Club/Techno" crap. You know, the music that requires a man wearing headphones on a podium, lots of drugs, and flashing lights in order to be tolerable. Then there's that overly romantic R&B crap, with a deep baseline that also grates on my nerves.

In my playlist right now I have AC/DC, Slipknot, Selena Gomez, Glenn Miller, Weezer, Evanescence, Maná, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and Korn, so I keep it pretty diverse.

Abba. Some of it is OK, but most is dreck.

I provide offsite audio archiving/vaulting services, which of course means that Abba is one of the first things that comes up in the list.

I wouldn't hate rap so much if the listeners didn't blare it so loudly from their car stereos that it makes my windows rattle when they drive by!

I like some heavy metal (GNR, old Metallica, Queensryche), but not the death metal or satanic stuff (other than Ozzy).

I can't stand really twangy country music, and I really hate most bubblegum pop.

I like classical music but I loathe 12 tone crap.

Gangsta Rap, Justin Bieber and hardcore thrash or metal.

And while we are on the subject, certain crossovers should not occur. Ever.

Gangsta Gregorian Chants, for example. I'm sure that I'll think of others.

Sooner or later, some rapper will write a rap opera. I think the new genre should be called "rapera", and the first work should be the Kwame Kilpatrick story, although it will probably be something that glorifies a dead rapper like Tupac or Biggie.

No, I generally see cars that have been tricked out with way too much bling. The cars themselves are usually expensive, but the tastes of the owners are cheap.

I used to live down the street from a club that closed at 0400 every night, and every night, without fail, one of those douchebags would drive past my window and get stopped at the traffic light, and just sit there waking up the neighborhood. One night, one of them parked in front of the deli across the street and left a friend in the car with the motor and stereo running (and it was a convertable, as well). When I went out and asked him to turn it down, he waited until I had turned around and had gone about ten feet before cranking it back up. I went back inside and did a quick search in my gear, but by the time I had found my axe, he'd driven off, so I guess that we were both lucky, because I would have gone to jail for what I was ready to do to his speakers. It ought to be legal to engage with light anti-armor weapons when they play their bass between the hours of 2100 and 0700, earlier than 1000 on a weekend.

I listen to just about everything, from classical to jazz to bubblegum pop to rap tocountry to hardcore to death metal to techno, and the only thing I can't stand is the Mexican polka music, based primarily on getting sick and tired of hearing it constantly on the streets of Dodge City.

BTW loving the good rap vs bad rap war going on in here. My two bits is that mainstream rap has sucked for years now, they just come up with a couple of lines about their gold and their car and repeat that line twenty times. Ice Cube, Ice-T, 2Pac, Naughty By Nature, DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince, House of Pain, Cypress Hill, Run DMC, Sir Mix A Lot and others who escape me now actually wrote many stories and talked about things besides guns, drugs and sex. Those were in there most of the time, but there was more then just that from the good rappers.
