I have just discovered Cee Lo Green. I assumed he was just another rapper until I saw him a couple of weeks ago on SNL. Lets just say I am impressed. He actually uses real instruments in his band and has a surprising voice.....

Adele. Had never heard of her until Rolling in the Deep was a hit. I've listened to her album since then and love it.

This is her singing an acoustic version. I really love her sound.

been listening to them for a little while, they only have the one album out

Cee Lo reminds me of Maroon 5, I'd never heard of him till last week when I was watching The Voice, which is funny because Adam Levine from Maroon 5 is one the show with Cee Lo

Because I have two very young daughters (7 and 3), I have to listen to a lot of stuff that I otherwise wouldn't so that I know what they are listening to, so I'm being exposed to a lot of newer music. My oldest seems to like dance music by bands that are fronted by female singers, although she also likes Justin Bieber, (I'd rather put an icepick through my eardrum than repeat that experience), but some of it is actually quite good, like Selena Gomez. She also likes Orianthi, Kesha (Who I have to monitor closely, as she gets fairly risque) and a bunch of other acts.

Selena Gomez (and the video is very well edited):

Orianthi:

My three-year-old likes classical, especially Mozart, some of the mellower Bach and a lot of movie soundtrack stuff, as well as dance riffs that she gets from my older girl.
