Blind date goes wrong

BARRIE - Barrie Police were called to a Fairview Road coffee shop for a report of a domestic dispute.

A man advised he arranged to meet with a woman he met online at this location.

However, the date turned out to be his current girlfriend.

Police say the girlfriend threw a cup of coffee on the man's face and then slapped him.

An off duty OPP officer arrested the woman and Barrie Police were contacted.

A 49-year-old woman is awaiting a bail hearing.
