Those of you who have access to my Facebook page know that I had to fly up to NYC to visit my mother, who has been in and out of the hospital for the past year. While I was getting ready to fly up, she died. I made the trip anyway and I'm glad that I did, as my dad really needed the support. Those who've commented about it on FB, thanks much for they kind words.

Thanks, everyone. I'm okay. She had been in and out of the hospital for the last year, so it was expected. I'd brought the family up last summer so that she could see the baby, I was surprised by how frail she looked then, and after the last couple of crises, we knew that it was just a matter of time.
