The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak may be history after mass demonstrations led to an end to his rule and an uncertain future for the land of the Pharaohs, a nation that in the not-too-distant past warred with Israel and allied itself with the Soviet Union.

Moammar Gadhafi may not be in as comfortable a position in Libya as he was once. And the living symbol of jihad, Osama bin Laden, may no longer be living.
Speaking to Muslim worshipers in Gaza City on Sunday as they commemorated Nakba — translated as "the day of the catastrophe," or when Israel was established in 1948 — Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh exhorted his listeners to pray for an end to Israel.
And could it be a coincidence that Arab demonstrators flooded to numerous points on Israel's borders — next to Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and the West Bank, also in commemoration of Nakba?
Some of the "protest" activity consisted of cutting through a fence between Syria and the disputed Israeli territory of the Golan Heights. Also Monday, Israel fired across the bow of a Malaysian ship that was violating the naval blockade of Gaza.

But Israeli defense minister Ehud Barak warns that the worst is to come. "More difficult days await us," Barak said, adding that he expects large protests in non-border areas too in what will become a mass, concerted action against the Jewish state.

There is nothing spontaneous about these large demonstrations in so many places at the same time, of course. This is no grass-roots rising of Arabs caught up in the spirit of what took place in Cairo or Tunisia earlier this year.

Israeli media reveals U.S. president's forthcoming Mideast speech

JERUSALEM, May 17 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President Barack Obama will call on Israel to withdraw to the 1967 borders and agree to additional concessions that will enable a resumption of the peace process, Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth revealed on Tuesday.

The newspaper claimed to have obtained a draft of Obama's planned speech at the State Department on Thursday in which he will outline his administration's Middle East policy, in light of the anti-government protests that have swept the region over the past year. White House press secretary Jay Carney said Sunday that Obama would raise the need for progress in...

Setting the stage for a September declaration of an Islamic Palestinian stE within Israeli borders and a confrontation between the IDF and UN peacekeepers - some of which will undoubtedly be US troops....So what say you Christian soldiers, will you bear arms at the order of Barack Obama against the Jews in support of Islamic radicals?

I doubt that Bibi is going to go for this and that there will be US troops involved should it happen.
Bibi isn’t going to have a say. The PA will push for a declaration of state hood in September regardless of what Israel does and they will get it in the general assembly. Then they are one absent US veto away from having the security council enforce it...and with Samatha Powers advising Obama there is a high likelihood that us forces will be part of that “peacekeeping” mission.
Bibi definitely has a say about what happens there no matter what the UN wants. Even Urkel isn’t stupid enough to get us involved there unless it is along the lines of our involvement in Libya in which case the Israelis will wipe out whatever invaders are dumb enough to attempt invasion.

The UN could well make an adverse decision but without us leading it will just stand around and pee its pants.
Obama and his minions want the Golan Heights handed over to the Muslims. This land elevation is what is keeping Israel safe in this region. The so called Palestinian state already exists in Jordan, which was previously known as Palestine. However, Jordan does not want those trouble makers. Obama is obviously on the side of radical Muslims. God will not allow anything to happen to Israel. Obama needs to be careful in this regard.
If Obama calls for a withdraw to the '67 borders in a highly publicized speech...there will be a real, serious war in the Middle East within a year.

I'm talkin' the real deal.
