It's going to rain some more here today. Right now, it's dark and gloomy and I am wearing winter clothes.

TOTD: Excluding topical political comedy shows and stand-up comics, what's the most offensive show on TV right now? Now, some would say 'Meet the Press' but I'm trying to cast a wider net here. :D

Any of the opinion shows on MSNBC.

Good choice. It's unfair to exclude stand up comics, because I'd say any roast that features Lisa Lampinelli.

Work with me here.

Any show which preys upon the frailties of individuals for entertainment value by using the temptation of transitory fame and material wealth to lure people into exposing their flaws and failures.

Pretty much most of them, I guess.

It has been rainy and in the 40's for several days here... been wearing a sweat shirt for a week now (not the sane one ;) ).

TOTD: I find all of the "reality" shows offensive... especially the "talent" based ones, as the contestants rarely have talent. 'Course, I really don't watch enough of them to make that claim, but there ya go.:p

I don't know the channels. I'm on Dish. And around the SCI-FI channels and then up arouind 191 or so, there are channels that are always attempting to cut the legs out from under Christianity IF they could, demonic movies on ALL. THE. TIME. and then fantasy rich archeological history.

for HBO and showtime it is the flamer supporting shows. Queer as folk. I still don't understand the meaning of that title. The sissy duckling,

And sundance is usually showing anti american/proany OTHER culture on their channel.

Is that the one where all the women wear too much makeup and clothing 2 sizes too small? They seem to run a hair dressing store or something.

I can honestly say I've never seen it, but unfortunately I've heard of it. When I flip through the Directv guide, I see what seems like a gazillion "Jersey" shows. I don't understand the appeal. I can only look at a car wreck for a few seconds.

I am SO glad someone else has noticed this. It aggravates me when they 'write history' according to a predisposition or agenda.

I don't know if they run a salon. The only clips I've seen were the ones featured on The Soup.

They are supposed to be the quintessential Jersey guy and gal. So I've learned that everyone in New Jersey is an alcoholic spray-tan-addicted loud mouth who deserves to be punched in the face.

It's definitely a show with historical perspective.

anything on LOGO, OWN, Algore's channel, SyFy and History, first three are obvious, Syfy has bastardized themselves not only with their awful name but also with their sucking of WWE teet, History Channel because they bastardized themselves with reality shows that have nothing to do with history and when they do have something about history they do such a shitty job it's not even funny, and almost all "religious documentaries" are about heretical teachings

The History Channel is a fucking joke.

Sometimes, though, I turn it on and laugh.

And this is why The Jersey Shore is offensive to me. Those idiots are a bunch of New Yorkers who come to Seaside Heights and act like total douchebags. This is in no way indicative of the real Jersey Shore.

Actually she's pretty good in those roasts, however, her stand up is an hour and a half of her talking about her black boyfriend.*

*-Note-Before anyone starts to flame me on this, just watch one of her standups. Her having a black boyfriend in and of itself isn't offensive but she needn't talk about it through her entire stand-up routine. It's almost as bad as watching Larry the Cable Guy talk about poop for a half an hour.

You've got that right. She's just as distasteful as Larry is, and that's saying something.

It's a tossup between Jerry Springer, Montel Williams and the rest of the grief porn, although that's only because we're excluding the entire MSNBC lineup.

I don't know... I had an ex from Jersey and he was.... a lot like a dude from the Jersey Shore. Just more. . . Jew-y. And Commie. And stupid. It's a miracle we lasted a month. My dad prolly would have punched the fuck out of him at my graduation. :p

And Lisa Lampanelli...
