Original message Enough of this crap about "uncertainty." Businesses need workers, and they need to hire.

They got the tax bills they wanted. They are sitting on trillions in cash. You can't walk into a major retailer and not see that they are short of help. That is everywhere. Same with many other businesses across the economy. Same with many medium and small businesses. Enough of this whining about "uncertainty, uncertainty". Businesses have received a huge array of incentives. Time for them to do the right thing and hire more people. Quit the whining about "uncertainty." With more people hired and spending, there will be more demand and therefore more "certainty." Obama and Dems especially should be pressuring these businesses to HIRE. (And to some extent he has been, as well as praising businesses that HAVE been expanding and hiring.)

Starts off with professing his immense knowledge of how businesses work.

Giving them all the tax breaks and regulatory removal they want won't create a job if there is no demand. And then there is the issue of globalization. They can get their sales and workforces in other places.

A taste of logic.

Is it just me, or is he disproving his own original post?

I believe it's part of an effort to screw Obama and workers simultaneously... http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/images/transparent.gif but it also because of slack demand in a "consumer economy." What caused this? No income gains for workers in the past thirty years. Offshoring and outsourcing of huge chunks of our economy and manufacturing. Increasing computerization of all kinds of jobs from retail clerks to customer support. Plus the concentration of wealth at the top of the pyramid because of these factors and tax policies that favor the already wealthy.

Ah yes, its about destroying Obama. Rove must be behind it.

have soaked that into infrastructure that desperately needs attending to.. The banks would get their money eventually.. people would be able to pay their bills. AND feeder ind. companies would expand off the govt works project. Pres. Obama should have taken one of the car companies and turned into a high-speed rail company... and started a rail project across the country like ole' Abe did or the interstate highway system... Its needed and would produce good jobs in house.

Wasn't that the goal of the Stimulus? TO dump money into Infrastructure? Funny little found its way there, instead of the unions.

I'm always amazed at the libtards who think it's some giant conspiracy to screw over Obama. Any sane business owner/operator maximizes the success of their business regardless of who is president.

it's funny that they think that the only places that hire in the US are giant retail box stores and restaurants They don't bother to look up the stats on where jobs actually are, namely the small manufacturing companies (50-250 employees). These are the business that fear the "uncertainty" and Obama's bullshit economic policies. They don't have demand for their products than they can't hire.

For sure. Their basic premise seems to be that companies that could otherwise be making much more money are tanking on purpose just to screw Obama...all to get a RW president so that they can make much more money.
