I'm still not at the point of making it legal, but I would at least make it legal for medicinal purposes.

I hate sin taxes but I know the reality and the reality is that it will never be legalized without a sin tax. Legalize weed and see the issues involving 'light beer' disappear.
Trust me, there will be no video clips using the phrase, "Hold my doobie....".

You wouldn't need to tax it. The extra revenue from existing income taxes, etc., as a result of a thriving industry and the jobs it would create, would be significant. And that doesn't even count the enormous growth the snack food industry would enjoy.
