I'm not sure this belongs in Political, or humor...

From Bloomberg (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-07-07/unemployment-rate-won-t-hobble-re-election-david-plouffe-says.html):

Unemployment Rate Won’t Hobble Re-Election, David Plouffe Says

By Julianna Goldman – Jul 7, 2011
The White House’s top political adviser, downplaying the significance of the unemployment rate in the 2012 election, said the Republican candidates are offering the same policies that caused the economic crisis and targeted one potential opponent — Mitt Romney.

“So all of them are basically just bringing out the same old war horses,” senior adviser David Plouffe said yesterday at a Bloomberg Breakfast in Washington. “Let Wall Street kind of run amok, cut taxes for the wealthy, starve investment in things like education, research and development.”

Plouffe… previewed the arguments the president and his team will sound 16 months before an election that could be a referendum on Obama’s handling of the economy. While history has shown the unemployment rate to be a leading indicator of an incumbent’s success, Plouffe said Americans won’t base their votes on it.

“The average American does not view the economy through the prism of GDP or unemployment rates or even monthly jobs numbers,” Plouffe said. “People won’t vote based on the unemployment rate, they’re going to vote based on: ‘How do I feel about my own situation? Do I believe the president makes decisions based on me and my family?’” …

It's the economy stupid...do you feel like the economy is getting better or worse....do you feel more or less secure in your job and prospects for retirement...are you better off than you were when the O took office.
Hopefully, the Republican nominee will have enough brains to convey that message to the American voters.

His top advisor is FOS as a Christmas turkey if he thinks that jobs, economy and debt will not be the most important aspects of the 012 election. Today, the unemployment rate hiked up from 9.1 to 9.2%. Not looking good for the Obummer administration cause the pathetic 18,000 job created in May is the worst job report in 9 months. The experts had predicted 100k, and the market took another dump.

His adviser just wishes it isn't the economy stupid. They're going to have to do a whole lot of voting from the grave and pandering to the illegals and minorities to win this election. But I'm sure the community organizer is already strategizing.

Three words for you, Mr. Plouffe: Hold that thought.

It's called cognitive dissonance, SLW; the backbone of this administration.
