A 101-year-old Virginia woman was shot and wounded as she tried to break up a family dispute, authorities and a neighbor said Monday.
The woman, who was not identified, was struck in the neck and taken to a hospital after the shooting, which occurred over the weekend in Richmond, police there said.
Michael Haskell, a longtime friend of the woman’s, said a gun went off as she tried to intervene in the dispute.
