My son works at the Tampa shrimp co. in Dover Fl and he gave me 3 lbs of raw peel and eat shrimp. We decided to do a shrimp boil, killer meal! Not really expensive when you get the shrimp for free, but the rest of the meal is cheap!

Ingredients
1/2 cup Old Bay Seasoning
2 tablespoons salt
4 quarts water
1 (12 ounce) cans beer
8 medium red potatoes, cut in quarters
2 large vidalia onions, cut in wedges
2 lbs smoked sausage, cut in 2 inch lengths
8 ears frozen corn on the cob, thawed ( I use Birdseye Little Ears)
4 lbs large shrimp, in shells
Directions
In an 8-quart stock pot, bring Old Bay, salt, water and beer to a boil.
Add potatoes and onions; cook over high heat for 8 minutes.
Add smoked sausage; continue to cook on high for 5 minutes.
Add corn to pot; continue to boil for 7 minutes.
Add shrimp in shells, cook for 4 minutes.
Drain cookin liquid; pour contents of pot into several large bowl

Old Bay is delicious, but it's mostly salt. For those on a controlled sodium diet, there is a brand of seasoning similar to Old Bay, but which has no salt. Unfortunately, I put the seasoning in a jar and threw away the box but it was on a display in Winn Dixie next to Old Bay, and may have been Zatarain's or some other Louisiana type item.

Forget the salt! You better be able to take some heat!! This Old Bay satchel had some bad ass spices!
I saved the broth and tonite made a shrimp and veggie soup!! Way good!
