About a week late and was just wanting to know how long you ladies went before you took a pregnancy test?
With each of my oldest I knew I was within a week. With my youngest I was over a month but that is because I was sick with the flu so that is what I thought since everyone around me was already sick so I thought that is what she was a long case of the flu.

My what?

Your screen name.

Now granted, I'm not the most experienced with this, but some can tell pretty soon. My wife was just 3 weeks pregnant with our latest when the test went positive.

In that case ..Congratulations...My wife, with our first child, ..Would have me pull over, while driving, so she could barf along the side of the road..Everything that she consumed upset her stomach...no coffee, orange juice and GOD forbid bacon...
Dry toast with water for breakfast...Tums by the hand full....No fruit, she settled on low acid orange juice...even vitamins gave her heartburn...She had a reaction to all of the calcium in the tums and was hospitalized and diagnosed with GERD .. And Later, after an esophageal endoscopy, with Barrett's Esophagus ....

Megi, how long ago was she diagnosed with Barrett's? I was about 15 years ago. The original doc died and all my records vanished. I had kept asking him if there was something that I could do to help eliminate the Barrett's and he said no. I went on a strict diet based on my own research and eliminated all carbonated beverages, orange juice, any citrus at all, mints, chocolate, alcohol. The next gastroenterologist asked me what in the world I did for fun. :D

After that I eased up a bit, but the new guy would never answer my question---do I really have Barrett's? Thank God when I moved here by necessity had to get a new doc. This one is one of the best I've ever had in any field.

He told me that when they originally diagnosed Barrett's, they often didn't take the biopsy in the right area. He said that there is new instrumentation that is more accurate. After I awakened from the endoscopy a couple weeks ago, he gave me the good news that I do NOT have Barrett's. 15 years of worrying about the possibility of getting esophageal cancer down the drain. It really was a relief.

Maybe your wife should check on her next endoscopy.

Went to the doctor today and we are infact pregnant not going to tell my sweetie till we are alone at the resort he will be so very excited we have wanted this for so long!!
The doctor said I am 7 weeks and at my next appointment she will be able to let me listen to the heartbeat.
She did a ultrasound since we have had 3 miscarriages in the last 6 years always within the first month so to be this far is so exciting.
The baby is the size of a coffee bean so all day I have been calling it bean:D

Bean . . . That's a great nickname. My former youth pastor's wife named her "Tum", or "Little Tum" . . . but Tum Became Autumn Grace so... there's that... and Frances Bean Cobain is an awesome looking woman now, BTW. :D
