Stormy Weather, the song.......

Lena Horne or Etta James. I like Horne's version best.

The release of that song in the 40's represented - to me, at any rate - the absolute best that blues had to offer. It has gone down hill from there. There are performers who can still deliver blues like that, but mostly blues is dominated by guys in sunglasses and hats, or by some virtuoso running up and down the neck of an electric guitar.

..........Back to weather.........:)
