The United States is at risk of making the "biggest mistake in its entire history" if recent political battles in Washington force the government to drop investment in clean energy, Vice President Joe Biden said yesterday.

Biden warned delegates at the National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas yesterday: "We are at an inflection point in our history. If we don't make these investments and set these goals we are going to lose. This negative argument that we hear all the time is not new in America. There are naysayers in the political leadership who say that the government has no role and should not be setting a vision for the future by providing seed money for anything.

"If we shrink from deciding that we are going to lead in the area of alternative energy, renewable energy, then we will be making the biggest mistake this nation has made in its entire history."

We already made the biggest mistake in November of 2008.

What is it about politics that draws the idiots?
And the libs have the gall to call Bush and Perry dumb.
..................
Amazing that these jerks live in a parallel universe where they don't have to exist under that laws that they shove down our throats: our political royalty don't have to use Soc Sec; don't have to use the health care system that we might be forced to use; don't have to drive "green" cars while they get hauled around in massive jets, limosines, and huge cars; don't have to live by any laws that they pass; are never prosecuted for the massive crimes they commit; etc.

Good old "Plugs" Biden keeps rambling on and on and on.

Just ask Spain and Italy what green energy has done to their financial well being. Biden should investigate why green energy has cost them many jobs and billions of euros going down a rat hole. I can not understand why he made a statement like that unless he is just a dumb ass or a partisan left wing loon. Probably a combo of both.

geeze these idiots don't really get it do they? We're not against "clean/green" energy, we're against being forced to adapt to technology that is unproven and does not work over one that does work and can be improved on, especially when the market demands it.

There's only three sources of renewable energy that now makes any sense.Hydroelectric,Hydrocarbons and Nuclear energy and the Greenie Tree-Hugger and liberals are against all of them....

I think people those groups are merely puppeteers - they are control freaks who want everything done their way. And their way only. They'll conjure up 'facts', manipulate data; do whatever it takes to pull people's strings.....assholes.

yeah, I'm just saying there is no problem with researching other energy sources, just not at the expense of the economy and people's lively hoods
