Ingredients


16 slice(s) baguette
1 small pear(s)
2 tablespoon honey, flavored
4 ounce(s) cheese, crumbled Gorgonzola
chives
Preparation

1. Preheat broiler. On a large ungreased baking sheet, arrange bread slices. Broil 4 inches from heat for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until lightly toasted, turning once.

2. Halve pear slices; place on bread slices. Lightly drizzle with honey. Top with cheese and chives, if desired. Serve immediately. Makes 16 appetizers.

Should be good. Lots of fruit goes beautifully with gorgonzola.

Will try it the next time we have guests. I'm thinking of altering it by using a whole wheat baguette. Whole Foods generally has them. It would be healthier and I think tastier, as the more nutty taste of the whole grain bread should blend with the pears and gorgonzola.

Are you going to have to put bacon on top to get SR to eat it? :p
