It's all politics. Most of the questions are prearranged, as usual. One guy actually tried to pin him down on the ATF and the guns, also Solyndra. He responds as always with the same BS.

He started out challenging the senators (mostly Dems I'm sure) to vote for his stupid jobs bill or else they'll have to individually explain to him. He's never changed from the Chicago (or wherever he's really from) street agitator that he's always been.

Presidential he's not.

I'm shutting it off, can't stand listening to anymore of it. Have better things to do, like go to Home Depot for more paint to complete a painting project on a small vanity bench. Used Krylon and it ran, so need to get another brand and some sandpaper.

It's been that kind of a day.

I know he's my CinC, but I've never been able to stand listening to him talk. He's so imperious. All he can do is talk down at you.

I don't know how anyone ever thought this guy was charismatic.

Early on, it looked like he was trying to incite the parasitic class from protest into riot.

Heard lots of references to the long time all these problems have been going. Not explicitly blaming Bush, but..... Just a typical, do what I want, campaign speech. Irritating.

Anyone know of a good source to fact check all the fertilizer he was spewing? The claims of what he has done and what hasn't been done, the jobs bill, ect.

What is this inability to listen to people you disagree with? I listen to Obama's press conferences regularly, but not always. When it was Bush though, I listened very closely to every press conference I was able to.

I like to listen to Judge Napo not because I agree with him on many of his libertarian views but because he is honest and is not a two face POS. Many politicians are outright habitual liars and Obama is a champ,

I set my lie detector to chime when he lies. It buzzes continuously. He cannot tell the truth, it isn't in his lying-A$$ nature.

If it was an actual press conference Wei, I would listen to him. But this was not. It was a political stump for his re-election.

GOP won't pass my Jobs bill. <-- His own party in the Senate blocked it from coming to a vote. And none will Co-sponsor.

Its some one else's fault. <-- President Truman kept a plaque on his desk that read "The Buck Stops Here". Obama keeps one that reads "The Buck Never Stops Here!"

There is no wrong doing in F&F so trust me. <-- Thou CBS has almost a weekly release that proves otherwise. Including shortly after Obama spoke today saying Holder was innocent.

His elusiveness on Solyndra and talking down to me like he's my professor is what made me not watch today.

Fact Check #1 (http://apnews.myway.com/article/20111007/D9Q7BBC00.html)

My top pick, puts a hole in the Occupy Wall St meme at the same time

OBAMA: "We can either keep taxes exactly as they are for millionaires and billionaires, with loopholes that lead them to have lower tax rates, in some cases, than plumbers and teachers, or we can put teachers and construction workers and veterans back on the job."
THE FACTS: True, "in some cases" wealthy people can exploit loopholes to make their tax rate lower than for people of middle or low income. In recent rhetoric, Obama had suggested it was commonplace for rich people to pay lower rates than others, a claim not supported by IRS statistics. But on Thursday, Obama accurately stated that it only happens sometimes.
In 2009, 1,470 households filed tax returns with incomes above $1 million yet paid no federal income tax, according to the IRS. Yet that was less than 1 percent of returns with incomes above $1 million. On average, taxpayers who made $1 million or more paid 24.4 percent of their income in federal income taxes; those making $100,000 to $125,000 paid 9.9 percent; those making $50,000 to $60,000 paid 6.3 percent. The White House argues that when payroll taxes - paid only on the first $106,800 of wages - are factored in, more middle class workers wind up with a higher tax rate than millionaires.

Much more disturbing fact check #2 (http://www.bostonherald.com/news/regional/view.bg?articleid=1371584)

“I had a chance to meet a young man named Robert Baroz,” the president said at a midday news conference. “He’s got two decades of teaching experience. He’s got a master’s degree. He’s got an outstanding track record of helping his students make huge gains in reading and writing. In the last few years, he’s received three pink slips because of budget cuts. Why wouldn’t we want to pass a bill that puts somebody like Robert back in the classroom teaching our kids?”

Two problems: Obama never met Baroz. And Baroz remains happily employed.

It is technically true that Obama had a chance to meet Baroz. But the closest Baroz actually got to Obama was the front row of a Rose Garden press conference on the jobs bill in September, with a handful of other teachers. He later met with White House aides and Obama’s education chief, but never met the president.

Baroz has in fact received three pink slips in four years, but in each case, his job was saved, either through stimulus funds or the 2010 Congressional Jobs Bill. He now works as a literacy and data coach at the Curley K-8 School in Jamaica Plain, analyzing MCAS data and applying it to teachers’ everyday lessons.

sickening, disgusting, doublethinking, justification of lying

Baroz, who supports Obama and his efforts to restore the public sector, told the Herald yesterday he doesn’t mind if the president — or his speechwriters — took some liberties with the facts. It was all in aid of a higher truth, he said.

“People who want to fuss over the word choice are missing the point. It’s about our investing in education and in communities,” Baroz said. “It was technically correct; yes, I did lose my position three times within four years in the Boston Public Schools. To me, the question he posed to the people was a rhetorical question. The emphasis was on ‘like Robert.’ It’s people who are like me, highly qualified, and are not working. That’s the spirit of it.”

When you have no morals or principles, what's a little bending the facts?
