View Full Version : Police: Man grew pot while living in tree house

ROCK ISLAND, Ill.— An East Moline, Illinois man who lived in a tree house has been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly growing at least 100 marijuana plants.
Charles W. Cole, 52, was arrested by the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office on July 5, 2011. His case was later transferred to federal court in cooperation with the Rock Island County State’s Attorney.

The U.S. Attorney said prior to his arrest, Cole lived in a tree house behind a residence on Route 84 in East Moline.

Cole was held in the Rock Island County Jail.
